World class Argentinean tango artist to perform in Lincoln in March.
LINCOLN
03rd March 2012
Martin Alvarado is undoubtedly one of the finest and most significant tango artists of the new generation in the world today, and has won wide acclaim across Europe and in his home city of Buenos Aires, performing at major music festivals and venues.
He will be bringing his talents to Lincoln, thanks to local woman Carol Butler, of Tango Lincoln, who is a well-known Argentine tango event organiser in the area. His concert will be part of a Tango Lincoln milonga – an Argentine tango social dance - and is at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln, from 8pm to 11pm with the concert from 8pm to 9pm and is open to all, dancers and non-dancers. Doors open at 7.30pm.
The tour is hot on the heels of his debut solo tour here in November and follows successful performances in Midnight Tango, the hugely popular stage show starring Vincent and Flavia, of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing fame, which toured the UK last year and returns for a second tour this year.
