On Saturday 7th November 2026, the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby hosts its Fireworks and Night Taxy Runs, one of the county’s biggest displays.

Lancaster and Mosquito taxy runs

Avro Lancaster NX611, Just Jane, will make taxy runs at 12 noon, 3.30pm and 7pm. The centre’s de Havilland Mosquito will also taxy during the afternoon and again at 7pm; check the final schedule on the day. A Firebirds pyrotechnic flying display is scheduled for 4.30pm, and the fireworks begin at 8pm. Gates open at 9.30am and close at 9pm, so there’s time to explore the museum and its hangars before dark.

Tickets and prices

Admission is £16 for adults, £5.50 for children aged 10 to 15 and free for under-10s; museum members’ tickets are also available. Tickets are limited and should be booked in advance through the centre’s website, lincsaviation.co.uk. Your ticket covers entry to the site and spectator areas. Rides on the aircraft are sold separately and are usually booked months ahead.

Before you go

Dogs aren’t allowed in the evening and night part of the event. Wrap up warmly, wear sturdy footwear and bring a torch for the walk back to the car. The organisers ask everyone booking to agree to the terms and conditions and to watch the accessibility video on the booking page.

About the centre: Lincolnshire farmers Fred and Harold Panton opened the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in 1988 as a memorial to their older brother, Christopher, a flight engineer killed on the Nuremberg raid in March 1944. Set on the former RAF East Kirkby airfield, it is home to Just Jane, whose regular taxy runs help fund her upkeep and restoration.
