Going Wild (West) at the Blankney Ball
A wild (west) night was had by all at this year’s Blankney Hunt Ball, held at Newark Showground George Stephenson Centre and attended by over 800 people… we moseyed on down with our camera!
A Wild West-themed Blankney Hunt Ball took place recently, attended by over 800 people and including a three course supper followed by dancing to live band Fully Functional, and bucking bulls.
The Blankney Hunt was founded in 1871 when the old Burton Foxhounds split into two groups – roughly north and south – and maintains around 70 acres of woodland within its 20 mile x 11 mile territory. The Blankney ‘hunts the clean boot,’ i.e.: within the law, pursuing a human being with specially introduced scent. For more information on the hunt, see www.blankneyhunt.co.uk.
