Remembering Our Fallen Heroes

This month we’re meeting three people from across Lincolnshire who are keen to ensure that Lincolnshire remembers those who gave their lives for our freedom The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight At RAF Coningsby, the past and the present share the same stretch of tarmac. On one side of the base, ultra-modern Typhoon fighter jets stand on alert, ready to scramble at a moment’s notice as part of the UK’s Quick Reaction Alert force. On the other side, housed in a modest wartime hangar, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) keeps alive the spirit of the Second World War, flying some of the most iconic aircraft ever built.
