The Return of the Lincolnshire Show
It’s back for 2025! One of the UK’s most anticipated county events, the Lincolnshire Show, returns this summer for a landmark 140th edition.
Taking place at the Lincolnshire Showground on the 18th and 19th of June, this year’s event promises a dynamic celebration of the county, filled with breathtaking entertainment, thrilling stunts, and top-tier competitions.
At this 270-acre festival of rural life, visitors can enjoy impressive livestock and equine competitions, cutting-edge machinery displays, and the finest local food and drink. Plus, there will be shopping, horticulture exhibits, live music, children’s activities, and much more.
This year, the show’s organisers will welcome the Lincoln Red Cattle Society and Blue Texel Sheep Society as they host their prestigious national events. Meanwhile, over 55 schools will showcase their incredible projects as part of the LAS Schools’ Challenge. New for 2025, Rural Voices will offer thought-provoking talks from influential leaders in the rural sector. The Knights of Middle England Stunt Show will bring history to life with thrilling, action-packed performances, and due to popular demand, the Shetland Pony Grand National is set to make a welcome return.
The Countryside Area will feature exciting new demonstrations from Jixenwell Gun Dogs, along with the return of the Farriers, offering visitors a close-up look at their expert craft. Following the success of its return last year, the Garden Show will once again showcase stunning Chelsea-style displays, celebrating horticultural excellence.
Visitors can also enjoy aviation tributes, fitness competitions, a range of live cooking demonstrations and expert gardening tips—ensuring that the 140th Lincolnshire Show is an unmissable event for all ages.
“This year is a huge milestone as we celebrate the 140th Lincolnshire Show. Since the very first Show in 1869, this event has become
a cherished annual gathering that always brings together people from across the county and beyond our borders,” says Charlotte Powell, Chief Executive of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society.
“There will be all the traditional attractions that visitors love, alongside exciting new additions to celebrate this special anniversary. From our Main Ring and Countryside Ring entertainment to our Rural Voices speaker series, we have something for everyone to enjoy. I am delighted to invite everyone to join us for this spectacular celebration of Lincolnshire’s heritage, culture, and innovation.”
Organised by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS), a registered charity dedicated to educating the public on food, farming, and the environment, the Lincolnshire Show is a beloved family-friendly event that attracts over 60,000 visitors each year, including 6,000 schoolchildren and over 500 exhibitors. The event is home to around 2,500 animals, highlighting its strong agricultural roots.
