Alicia Kearns at Hambleton Hall
Apparently it’s bad form to discuss politics, religion and other such matters at the dinner table, but those rules were relaxed recently as Alicia Kearns MP was a special guest in the dining room of Hambleton Hall where around 25 people enjoyed a three course dinner followed by an informal speech from Alicia about life in Westminster and the condition of UK politics. The Stamford & Rutland MP reflected on the challenges that The Labour Party is facing in government, how being in opposition is bringing Conservative MPs closer than ever, and offered her insight into global politics, drawing upon her experience as Chair of the Foreign Affairs committee in the last Parliament and, now, in opposition, Shadow Minister for the Home Office.
