Once again, Rutland & Stamford Pride is asking readers to help recognise the area’s best restaurants, pubs, cafes and food and drink producers. Each year, we go further by recognising six local businesses in our Good Food Awards, inviting readers to cast their votes before announcing the area’s most highly regarded businesses in our January edition.
The Six Categories
This year’s categories are Restaurant of the Year, Coffee Shop/Bistro of the Year, Restaurant with Rooms, Best International Dining, Food Producer/Retailer of the Year, and Drinks Producer of the Year. Each celebrates a different part of the area’s hospitality scene, from acclaimed dining rooms to the farmers, bakers and independent retailers behind the region’s finest food.
Why Your Vote Matters
Hospitality is one of Britain’s largest employers, but the sector is under severe pressure — rising energy bills, food inflation and increased business costs have squeezed profit margins to 2% or less for many operators, while customer numbers have fallen by around 15%. Recognising and celebrating the businesses that keep going despite these pressures matters more than ever.
How to Vote
There are two ways to vote: complete the form in the magazine, or fill in the online form at www.pridemagazines.co.uk/rutland-and-stamford/vote. You can vote for any business in Rutland, Stamford or the immediate area, not just Pride advertisers, and we ask that you don’t have a commercial interest in any business you nominate. The closing date is 2nd November 2026.
